Urban ice-cream

It’s creamy and ready for print, urban ice-cream is on its way to the printer and will be coming to a street near you soon, of course if they find themselves stuck to the walls illegally this has nothing to do with me or a crack team of knife toting hoodies – lets just put it down to magic.

I have taken a few days break from the new stencils I am working on to draw up a new sticker that I had the idea for a while back. It was originally going to be a t-shirt and a slightly different design, but in the last few days I have combined two parts of the same idea to create ‘Urban ice-cream’. I have attached the first sketches for the sticker that will be ready in the next few days.

How are you doing? are you enjoying the weather?, well that’s enough about you for now. I just want to let you know that i have been working overtime on lots of new and exciting stuff: new stencils, ideas and building the Leinz online shop – so much to do and so little time.

If you are on the south Bank, London in a few weeks keep an eye out for a new Leinz stencil that will be appearing as if by magic on a wall near the river, so long as the feds don’t get to me first!

I also have some bad news - someone tried to get Leinz added to Wikipedia but they rejected it, a travesty i know so I have harden my resolve to work even harder to get myself wiki’d… if it’s the last thing i do.

For those of you reading this who are also regular visitors to Leinz you will already know this piece – It’s called Evolution and has been on my site for a while, but I thought it was about time to set the mice free from the confines of my hard-drive and let them run wild in the big wide world.

Evolution is a 2 colour stencil sprayed onto the reverse of a sheet of glass, giving a high gloss finish from the front. This is part of a series that will all soon be available to buy through my Art Shop – Don’t Touch It. to be ahead of the curve and get info as soon as the shop is open please join the mailing list above.

More photos available in the photo section on Leinz.

The saying goes that money cannot buy you happiness, but even though money is a big motivation in life and fuels our society there is a great deal out of its reach, like love, happiness, friends and health.

It is seen to be the answer to everything but it creates more problems than it can solve.

Why the rain in London has stopped for a few minutes I thought I would send out an update on how things are going with my new art. The 3D piece I was working on is now finished and all the UHU issues have been resolved. I will take some photos of it as soon as the weather perks up and it won’t get soaked and ruin all the hard work.

I am also working on 2 new stencils – these have been on my mind for a while and I am finally getting them from brain to stencil. I will keep you up to date as I go along and actually have something to show, at the moment they are still being drawn up. They are both focusing on the same subject – Global warming and making a stand against it, if our politicians won’t do something then we will have to.

After months of testing, redesign and more testing on a group of small albino rabbits I am pleased to present to you the new re-incarnation of 3will.

It still has it’s old style of moaning and groaning about politics and how society is governed but now it has stopped ignoring its better looking alter ego Leinz and has excepted they are one and the same. So now you will be able to get all the news, views and latest art from Leinz.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Leinz (thats me by the way) I am a Graphic  Artist from London who likes to question everything around them. My chosen medium for doing this is bold stencils that try and convey a message and to also provoke thought on matters that are normally just be accepted not questioned.

So just to clarify the confusing blur between 3will & Leinz – Leinz is the artist and 3will is the way I communicate with the outside world.

All of the previous 3will articles dating back to August 2005 are still online for you to read (please don’t judge me on how the old site looks – I was young and crazy)
