Over the last week I have created a selection of new pieces to coincide with the UK General election and for the great project BillBored.org. They have been projecting statement art pieces onto lots of places around london by night including; Tate Modern, Saatchi & Saatchi, City Hall, The Gherkin and last night PARLIAMENT.

My latest piece about the Hung Parliament and the power Clegg holds as third place candidate was loved by BillBored who wanted to end the project with a bang - so they set out on a dark Sunday evening to project this onto the hottest spot in London.

After weeks of tireless campaigning and voting in the Leinz General Election “Personalities not Policies” I am very please to announce the results of who you all voted for. I was not too surprised by the result but it will be interesting to compare the clever little so and so’s who visit my site with the actual results.

After 3 weeks of intense painting I am very pleased to announce that my elephant - Frank, which I have been painting for the Elephant Parade London is now finished. He will be hitting the streets of the capital in early May.

Things are going well with the Elephant Parade and I start painting the full size beast on Monday 1st March in the elephant and castle shopping centre. You can keep up to date with all my progress and insight into the world of elephant painting on twitter @leinzart. I will be posting photos of the project from the start to the very end - so either pop along to the shopping centre and say hi - or follow me on here and twitter.

I have just found out that my art will be appearing on an elephant in this summers London Elephant Parade. I will be painting the 2m x 1.5m elephant over the next months and will keep you up to date with regular posts on how things are going - should be great fun.

Billed as the capitals largest public art exhibition, Elephant Parade will embrace all that is excellent about London and will highlight every green initiative of the capital’s top businesses.  Decorated by a different artist or celebrity, the brightly painted elephants will help to create a bright new atmosphere in London and beautify each city park, street corner and building they grace. The event has already won the backing of Boris Johnson and the Greater London Authority, prominent artists and well known personalities such as The Duchess of York, Stephen Fry, Joanna Lumley and Michael Palin.

I am very pleased to announce that my art is being featured at ‘Vivienne Westwood’s Active - Resistance to Propaganda’ event at the Bloomsbury Ballrooms, Friday 4th December ‘09. Tickets have already sold out but I will try and keep you up to date as the evening progresses - will be a very interesting evening.

It’s been a while in the planning but I am excited to announce that my first solo exhibition will take place in London’s West-Eleven Gallery between 6th October - 12th October 2009.

The exhibition will showcase some of my iconic artworks and new, previously unseen pieces. If you fancy popping in and saying hello the gallery will be open daily from 10am - 7pm.

I am still completely amazed even today – 2 days after it happened. I was in a warm and friendly pub in the safe and familiar streets of Soho on Friday evening with a friend I haven’t seen in a while, deep in conversation and completely unaware of the hideous incident occurring under my own nose when some utterly despicable person stole my book from the table, my book, my copy of Brave New World by Aldous Huxley - who in hell steals a book. What has society come to when someone steals a book from you?.

I feel I should report this to the police before some others fall foul to this menace!
