More »Things are going well with the Elephant Parade and I start painting the full size beast on Monday 1st March in the elephant and castle shopping centre. You can keep up to date with all my progress and insight into the world of elephant painting on twitter @leinzart. I will be posting photos of the project from the start to the very end - so either pop along to the shopping centre and say hi - or follow me on here and twitter.
I have just found out that my art will be appearing on an elephant in this summers London Elephant Parade. I will be painting the 2m x 1.5m elephant over the next months and will keep you up to date with regular posts on how things are going - should be great fun.
Billed as the capitals largest public art exhibition, Elephant Parade will embrace all that is excellent about London and will highlight every green initiative of the capital’s top businesses. Decorated by a different artist or celebrity, the brightly painted elephants will help to create a bright new atmosphere in London and beautify each city park, street corner and building they grace. The event has already won the backing of Boris Johnson and the Greater London Authority, prominent artists and well known personalities such as The Duchess of York, Stephen Fry, Joanna Lumley and Michael Palin.

I am very pleased to announce that my art is being featured at ‘Vivienne Westwood’s Active - Resistance to Propaganda’ event at the Bloomsbury Ballrooms, Friday 4th December ‘09. Tickets have already sold out but I will try and keep you up to date as the evening progresses - will be a very interesting evening.
With the public becoming more aware of the range of environmental issues facing our planets future and with debate still raging on the human impact. Politicians and world leaders are stalling on how we are going to tackle it - will the natural world start fighting back before the policy makers leave it too late.

Lovable Boris Johnson with his astute intellect and bumbling persona is seen by many as a friendly and approachable character. A complete contrast to the more serious Ken Livingstone but is BoJo really the face and personality to represent London on the world stage, or does he turn London into a circus in the eyes of many.
Nick Griffin’s appearance on the BBC’s Question Time, tonight, is causing a lot of debate about the BNP as a political party and whether it should be allowed to stand in the same way as other parties.
Surely democracy only works if there is good and bad, everyone should have the right to express their views - this is a fundamental of democracy. It is up to the voter to see through the parties politics and not vote for them, by banning or not allowing their voice to be heard wouldn’t it create more of a compelling story for people to believe them.
I certainly do not agree with the BNPs views and no matter what veneer Nick Griffin puts on it they are a fascist party with very very flimsy and superficial policies that play on the minds of narrow minded bigots.
I have faith in the politicians and general public in exposing what trash the party is with the age old tool of debate - if the questions are the correct ones there is no way the BNP can hide it’s ugly views.
A selection of images from Leinz recent exhibition at W11, Notting Hill. Thanks to all those that attended it was great to hear what you thought. More images of the artwork on display will be available shortly.

It’s been a while in the planning but I am excited to announce that my first solo exhibition will take place in London’s West-Eleven Gallery between 6th October - 12th October 2009.
The exhibition will showcase some of my iconic artworks and new, previously unseen pieces. If you fancy popping in and saying hello the gallery will be open daily from 10am - 7pm.

A riving mass of twisted black plastic and metal moulding together out of a fog of electrical static - also known as the digital age in which we live in. Wireless communication and even a man on the moon but still there is no soloution to the mess of wires involved when listening to music. Two pieces, the first is a single colour the second highlighted with metallic silver.

After the walk from Vauxhall tube I was hoping for a lot from the Altermodern exhibition at the Tate Britain, but was left a little underwhelmed by it all - except for a few artists work. But the work that really grabbed my attention was by the German artist Franz Ackermann. His work really took me on a journey of colour and movement, and made a grey and until then pretty quite London day jump around singing in excitement and fun – definitely worth a visit to see his work for yourself.
